Business Issue 

   

Department of Justice (DOJ) needed assistance with implementing a department-wide Unified Financial Management System (UFMS) for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). 

 

Solution

 

Delta Solutions was engaged as part of the Integration and Implementation Team to ensure the new system met departmental standards and to align system capabilities with both mandated and new business processes. Delta Solutions was also tasked with leading the critical legacy system to UFMS data conversion effort.

Delta Solutions developed and implemented a project plan. Real and potential risks to resources, staffing, and business processes were identified. Risk mitigation recommendations were submitted and eventually implemented to ensure a successful migration. Delta Solutions designed and developed a data conversion process to accurately migrate legacy system data to UFMS.

 

Outcome

The end result was a successful implementation, compliant business processes and a strong business relationship. The DOJ’s auditor noted that the conversion was “the cleanest conversion they had ever seen.”
