With more than twenty years of IT management, development and research experience, Dave Vennergrund has led dozens of successful business intelligence and data mining-based fraud detection efforts across the Federal government including improper payment prevention at IRS, USDA, CMS, VA, DFAS, and OPM. He has deep expertise in data analysis, predictive modeling, and the deployment of analytic solutions.

In September 2010, Dave joined Delta Solutions to head its new Business Analytics practice. Built on our successful Business Intelligence service line and FinMart financial data offering, the Business Analytics practice now offers advanced data mining analytics, fraud detection, predictive analytics, and outlier detection.

Dave most recently served as Director of the Business Intelligence practice at SRA International, where earlier he had founded a data mining center of excellence and a data warehousing practice. Prior to joining SRA he developed software and artificial intelligence solutions for the Federal and intelligence community, led research teams, and managed staff at PRC, TRW, and GTE.

Dave has published and presented papers on a range of computer science and functional topics including Software Development Lifecycle Models, Expert Systems, Data Mining, Fraud Detection, and Data Fusion. He earned his BS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois and MS in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from Arizona State University.
